Through satti – which is similar to the famous satay of Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore – we hope to project Zamboanga City as a place for exotic and enigmatic food that is the by-product of Spanish and Arabian influence (To know more about the origins of satti, please go to http://www.krislibrary.com/1/post/2011/08/there-is-more-to-zamboanga-sulu-than-kidnappings-there-is-exotic-satti-from-turkey.html ).
Through satti, we hope to rekindle the pride-of-place among Zamboanguenos -- as well people people of Sulu, Basilan, Tawi-Tawi -- who are now living away from Zamboanga and for them to share our city’s unique culture, food and tradition to other people wherever they may be.
This is the best way we know to project Zamboanga now left behind in progress and tourist arrivals among all places in Mindanao.
But those who will buy or partake of satti in our place in Quezon City will not go home empty-handed, they will also feel happy and contented about helping educate poor kids who will grow up to bring progress and glory back to Zamboanga.
This is because portions of every satti meal eaten or bottle bought will go to the 102 Kris Library scholars and the thousands of poor children going to the Kris Libraries in Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur, Quezon City and Rodriguez, Rizal.
The money earned from satti will ensure the continued operation of Kris Libraries where poor students have free use of computers, do research, obtain reading lessons; as well as finance the completion of the four more Kris Libraries that are still works in progress.
This is how you can have your exotic satti in Metro Manila:
You can partake of satti at our old home and Kris Library – Quezon City Chapter at No. 9, Don Antonio Heights, Diliman, Quezon City. Please go to http://www.krislibrary.com/contact-us.html for map and direction. The satti meals will be available from 9 in the morning to 7 in the evening. Please call my wife Ann first for reservation and to give us time to prepare at 09497335528 and 09175208013 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.

We will deliver in areas near Quezon City provided that the order is not less than P1,500. For orders less than that, the satti meal can be picked up at our Quezon City home from 8 am to 8 pm.
Purchase of Bottled Satti:
You can also buy your bottled Satti Hot Chili Peanut Ketchup at the Kris Library in Quezon City, but this will not be available until the second week of October.
P50.00 Beef Satti (w/ four sticks, tamu (rice) and satti sauce)
P50.00 Chicken Satti (chicken leg, tamu and satti sauce)
P65.00 Satti Hot Chili Peanut Ketchup
(Other Muslim meals may be included depending on the volume of those taking the meal. We also do catering services for special occasions and for large orders).
As we have already decided not to go full time in the messy food business after losing big in our Satti Grill House outlets in SM-Fairview, Ortigas Center, Pasig; and Ermita, Manila, we are offering satti on a limited period (legal, public relations and cars are our core businesses).
But for love of Zamboanga and the poor Kris scholars and library users who we trust to bring glory days back to Zamboanga, we’ll do satti once more from October to December 20 when we shall have gone to Zamboanga once more to bring books, computers and scholarship funds earned from satti.
